ETL Certificate of UL and CSA Compliance

Laurel Electronics, Inc. hereby certifies that all of its Laureate panel mounted instruments and all of its Laureate DIN-rail mounted transmitters have been certified by Intertek, a National Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), to comply with the following standards which apply to the United States and Canada:

• UL 61010-1, Issued:2004/07/12 Ed:2 Rev: 2008/10/28 UL Standard for Safety Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control, and Laboratory Use Part 1: General Requirements.
• CSA C22.2#61010-1 Issued:2004/07/12 Ed:2 (R2009) Safety Requirements for Electrical Equipment for Measurement, Control, and Laboratory Use Part 1: General Requirements, with general instruction No. 1: 2008/10/28 - (R2009).

A Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) is an independent laboratory recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to test products to the specifications of applicable product safety standards, such as those of Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). An NRTL's function is to provide independent evaluation, testing, and certification.

UL 508A is the safety standard for Industrial Control Panels. Any digital meter or transmitter that has been certified to UL 61010-1 by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) can be installed in a UL 508A certified panel. Since all Laureate digital meters and transmitters have been ETL certified to UL 61010-1 by Intertek, and since Intertek is an NRTL, this means that Laureate digital meters and transmitters are suitable for installation in UL 508A certified Industrial Control Panels.
